Reid Harbor, Stuart Island, Boats at Anchor. The Eriksen Farm Girls. Lee at Turn Point and Elsewhere. Danger, Aircraft. Reflection

An elegant woodie cruiser
Another elegant woodie / kayak delivery vessel.
No. I’m a Yak. And… this is my field. Wanna play tag?
Not quite Turn Point, but close. View to the SW towards Victoria, Canada.
Second verse… same as the first…
There are two grass airports on Stuart Island. No roads connect them. This is the one to the West
And this is one that didn’t land well. Or its just an old busticated, rusticated lawn mowing device…
A moment of reflection.
The Australian Cattle Dog stare. Oh yeah… those merle genes do slip through the cracks

We’re back in Ludlow to escape some rainy / windy weather up in the Islands. To that end… it is lightly raining just now down here. Tomorrow the wind will blow from the South. Our first weather system to visit us in a while. It will be nice to be tied to our dock.

Shoulder cruising will continue in a bit. Where to? Hard to say. We haven’t been to Sucia yet this season and she is calling to us. But then… there is Oro Bay in South Sound, Filucy Bay, Henderson Bay, Gig Harbor, Poulsbo… perhaps later in the season we’ll make our way down Southish. Somewhere in the middle distance a plan will unfold. We will dust it off and pin it to the chart table and work our way towards it. Or not. We are cruisers afterall…
