Results of Our Hudsons Bay Cruising “Rule”, And A Return to Reid Harbor, Stuart Island, San Juan Archipelago

Just a bit of an update on the purpose of this cruise, the HBR: The final data point: Anchor retrieval: PASS. So there it is, a completed task list. Next step in that arena: Replace the tired 300 foot anchor chain that is shedding it’s galvanized coating… with a new 400 foot length of chain. Easier said than done, but with the help of the Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-Op it should be a smooth operation.

Dann geht es immer geradeaus as they say: Always strait forward… well, almost always… Realizing of course that in boating, the path forward is seldom a strait line forward, but we find it interesting, eh? Onward at the very least… What choice is there… until we swallow the anchor and become lubs.
