Images of Our Shoulder Season Travels in Great Northern. 8/15/23 – 8/31/23, Hunter Bay to Waiatt Bay and the Octopus Islands, British Columbia

What better way to present our latest cruising travels: Pictures with a bit of description. Oh… I could add a lot of words, and I have been known to do just that… but I will leave emotive translations up to you. Words can get in the way, eh?

This is a synopsis of our third 2023 “cruise” through the paradise that is the Salish Sea. Oh I know… the images do not convey the sound of lapping water against the granitic wall just off the stern. There are no briny smells. The static water does not shimmer as it does in real life. Add your own sounds, smells and shimmers…

Side note. Consider it a Shakespearean aside: The pictures are entered into this blog using Microsoft’s clipping tool. You can’t do much with those, if you feel inclined, as they are a static, “detuned” facsimile of the original. They were “shot” for the most part with a Galaxy S22 phone, in raw format. If you would like to have one of the photos to have and hold… just ask. I would be more than happy to send you the raw format (If I can figure out how!) Just send me a comment or email me, frabl44@gmail.com. Ha!! Now… on with it:
