Its not just another pretty face… it is Rebecca Spit, Drew Harbour on Quadra Island in Desolation Sound. To be more specific, Quada is part of the Discovery Island Archipelago that lies within the boundaries of Desolation Sound.

Not much to report really… Our passage from Tribute Bay to Quadra Island was an uneventful 5 plus hours. A long one for us up “here”. Uneventful is good. Motoring. Hourly engine checks. Logging results. Great Northern’s performance was exceptional. She sashayed up the Strait of Georgia with sass and style.

A relaxing moment in the Dink… On the way back from the grocery store at Heriot Bay…(GN in the fuzzy background anchored off of Rebecca’s Spit)

Now this is an oddity. It just might be a Rebecca’s Spit kinda thing… This man paddled by towing his Partner. He never looked at me. Just stared strait ahead. He was on a mission. Every once in a while the “partner” on the towed SUP would giggle when some cold water from a dinghy wake splashed up on her. Beer says I… A few minutes later she jumped up and paddled off with her partner. An end of summer nonsense of some kind I presume… a few moments of fun in the sun. We all need moments like that.

I’ll end our diorama with that. Well… except for the fact that the moon is up in the Southern sky.

And the sunset has mellowed:

Tomorrow. Another day… as it should be. The day after: Gorge… a favorite place…
