While we have undergone some great cruising in late fall, early winter and in the “dead” of winter, we do manage to get out and about and travel quite a bit by foot. We noticed an interesting development this week, a portend that spring is just around the corner. Here are some examples found while tramping about Port Ludlow that seem to support that thesis:
It started with a walk on the beach yesterday. It was a gorgeous mid- winter day with plenty of sun and particularly sharp shadows… Leo was rambunctious…
As we left the beach and began our walk through the neighborhood we noticed that there was a significant bloom event going on throughout:
Early spring, or just normal for Port Ludlow? We’re not really sure.
And then, today, the crowning glory we discovered at the entrance to Fort Townsend State park where we had a lovely foot about with Leo who has gotten quite good at life under the containment characteristics of a leash:
